How does it handle wind?
It is wind tested to 60 km/h, and the double-tier top vents air in gusts. Close the umbrella and fit the cover in strong wind, and add the extra weight plate in exposed or coastal spots.
Which base do I need?
The umbrella needs a base that fits a 48mm pole. Our 24.5kg base suits patios, courtyards and sheltered pools. For coastal or exposed spots, add the extra weight plate or your own sandbags or ring weights.
Is it waterproof?
The fabric is waterproof and gives reliable protection from rain. It is designed mainly for sun, so the double-tier structure may let some water through in heavy downpours.
How do I clean it?
Mild soap and water. For tougher marks, use a soft-bristled brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Can I leave it out over winter?
We recommend closing it and using the protective cover when it is not in use, to extend its life and for safety.
